Hiromitsu Morimoto, (Yokohama, Japan, 1942) received a Bachelor of Arts from California State University, CA, 1967, and studied at the Art Students League, New York (1967-1968). He has had solo exhibitions in the U.S., Japan, and Brazil, and received awards and grants from Polaroid Corporation, the 11th International Biennial of Prints, Tokyo, National Endowment for the Arts and Creative Artists Public Service New York, among others. His work is in the Permanent Collection of numerous Museums including the Baltimore Museum of Art, Milwaukee Art Museum, Museum of Fine Arts Houston, MoMA, New York, National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, and Museum of Modern Art, Toyama, Japan.
