He is an art historian. He was born in Belgium, in 1961. He lives and works in Greece since 2001, with scholarship by Onassis foundation. He has also collaborated with Benaki Museum. In November 2007 he was assigned director at the Fine Arts Museum, in the town of Tournai, in Belgium.
