He was born in Serres, Greece, in 1965 He has been occupied with photography since 1983. In 1984, he studied for one year at the cinematography school "Papantonopoulou". He graduated from the Department of Photography, School of Graphic Arts and Art Studies, Technological Educational Institute (T.E.I.) of Athens. He attended the Platon Rivellis' 6-month seminars in artistic photography at the society "Photography Circle. He is a founding member of the "Photography Circle" (1987). He was teaching darkroom and zone-system at the "Photography Circle" and in 1994 at "Image '94", on behalf of Ilford. He had undertaken the printing of the B/W photographs for the photo-books and exhibitions of the members of the "Photography Circle" and Platon Rivellis. He also printed the Nikos Ikonomopoulos' portfolio for his nomination as a member of Magnum agency. From 1995 to 2001, he was teaching photography at E.S.P. in Athens. From 2001 to 2003, he was teaching at the Department of Photography, Technological Educational Institute (T.E.I.) of Athens. Since 2007, he has taught photography at the private institute for vocational training "Leica Academy". Since 1996, he has been in charge of the photography archives at the Jewish Museum, in Athens. He has collaborated with the magazines "E", "Marie Claire" and "Cinema". Some of his photographs have been bought from the Thessaloniki Photography Museum.
