He was born in Thessaloniki where he studied civil engineering. Then, he studied photography at Paris, at Ecole d'arts decoratifs and University Paris VIII, where he received his PhD, in 2006. At the same time, he was working as a free-lance photographer with advertising companies and studios and with the press agency Wostok. He was a corresponder photographer in France, for the magazines Ena and Flash and he worked with the magazines Idees kai Lyseis and Deco Figaro. Since 2006, he has been teaching photography at the University of Ioannina.
