Rogerio Reis, was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1954, received a journalism degree from the Universidade de Gama Filho, in 1978, studied at the Museum of Modern Art, of Rio de Janeiro (MAM), the Universite Polytechnique de Lausanne and other professional venues. He is a former Photography Editor of "Jornal do Brasil", and has worked for major publications "O Globo", and "Veja". Co-founder and Editor of Special Projects of Agencia Tyba, Rio, he also continues to develop his fine art photographic essays. His work has been exhibited internationally and is in major museum collections at home, and abroad. He received National Foundation of the Arts (FUNARTE) Prize, authored the monograph "Na Lona" (Carnaval on Canvas), and co-authored several other books. He is represented by Tepper Takayama Fine Arts.
